Family Owned and Operated

Karcz Utility Services is a family-owned and family-operated utility contractor located in the Upper Midwest. Owners Dave and Gretchen Karcz take pride in operating the business that bears the family name. Dave worked in the family business since he was 15, following in his father’s footsteps.

Comprehensive Utility Consultation

As a leading utility contractor, Karcz helps clients solve regulatory and compliance issues. Additionally, Karcz troubleshoots problems like sunny day outages, fallen utility poles, and inaccurate GIS records. The company’s comprehensive utility consultation services are based on decades of knowledge and experience in the field. We develop customized utility pole inspection, treatment and rehabilitation plans. Each utility has a unique blend of pole species, treatment types, soil conditions, and climate. Karcz can develop a custom plan to get the most life out of a specific pole plant.

Foundation in Power Pole Inspections

Founded in 1994 as Karcz Pole Inspection, the company initially performed utility wood pole inspection and maintenance. Today, Karcz continues to offer expert power pole inspection and maintenance. Additionally, Karcz now performs URD inspection and repair, plus maintenance and inspection for distribution power grids.

Midwest Utility Contractor

Every year, Karcz Utility Services LLC performs maintenance on more than 20,000 URD cabinets and inspects and maintains roughly 30,000 poles. From its headquarters in Pulaski, Wisconsin, Karcz performs maintenance for power companies, electric cooperatives, municipalities, and commercial and educational clients throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

A Team of Utility Professionals

Karcz Utility Service is comprised of knowledgeable, experienced, and forward-thinking power system professionals. All are safety trained and certified in CPR and First Aid. High quality of service is preached and practiced down to the smallest of details. Twice a year, the crew attends Northeast Wisconsin Technical College courses for URD and electrical safety training. Some crew members belong to International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 2150.
